It looks like a design job. It's a political one.

A college of many schools, each used to running its own little website, each convinced it should be the front door. The College of Arts and Architecture needed all of them to feel like one place without flattening what made each distinct.

One architecture, holding a dozen opinions.

As development lead, we built one information architecture strong enough to hold a sprawling set of programs together — a spine that let each school keep its character while the whole read as a single, navigable college.

The hardest sites are the ones with the most owners.

Anyone can design one department a clean site. The real work starts when a dozen of them have to share one, and each is sure it should lead. Getting there is a matter of structure, not layout.
