Ten thousand products, one the customer came for.

At ten thousand products, search and structure stop being features and become the entire site. A customer does not want to browse a catalog that size — they want the one thing they came for, and they want it fast.

We built the structure the whole catalog stood on.

Their old system could not carry a catalog this deep, so we rebuilt it from the ground up — the data model, the way products were categorized, the path from a search box to the single right result. Structure first, because at this scale nothing else holds.

At scale, structure is the design.

It is tempting to treat a catalog like a design problem and reach for a prettier grid. But at ten thousand products, the thing that decides whether a customer finds what they came for is not the layout — it is the structure underneath it.
